Black History Month: Special Virtual Screening "Willie" - registration deadline: February 15
 

The Embassy of Canada has partnered with the US Embassy in Vienna to invite you to participate in a virtual screening of the documentary film Willie as well as a special online panel discussion.
 
The film speaks to issues of anti-racism and equality as it highlights the lived experiences and significance of Willie O’Ree as the first Black player in the National Hockey League.
 
Participants will receive an invitation that will allow them to virtually screen the film between February 19 and 26 – free of charge and as many times as they’d like!
The global panel discussion will be available on February 23, 15h Vienna time (6:00amPST/9:00amEST /2:00pm Universal Coordinated Time)

Speakers:
Willie O'Ree, Laurence Mathieu-Leger (director and co-producer)
Bryant McBride (co-producer), filmmakers of the critically-acclaimed documentary Willie
Blake Bolden, first black woman to play in the National Women’s Hockey League and current scout for the LA Kings

We are inviting you to share this information
